It was fairly close to Valentine's Day on a visit to the electrical store with Hubby a few years ago that whilst he was chatting to one of the salespeople, I spotted the display of electronic project kits. I had a glance through them and when Hubby wandered back over, I commented that maybe I would like to have a go.
Hubby is not one to follow set rules or normalities that most people adhere to.. for example he would rather buy me flowers on random days, purposefully avoiding buying them for Birthday or Valentine occasions, which is fine by me. However I was more than a little surprised that year, when I opened my Valentine gift to find a set of screwdrivers and a soldering iron! 
I was actually rather pleased and couldn't wait to get to the shop to choose my first project. Let it be known that I am very fond of my screwdriver set and no-one uses it without my knowledge or permission!

Unfortunately my first soldering iron was laid to rest some months ago, but I have now bought myself another one...
.. so maybe I will get around to completing some more kits that have been collecting dust!
