Bought a new blanket for my special fusspot guinea pig.  Had to throw his other one away because I tried to make his cage look like the ones I see on Instagram - all cozied out with fleeces etc.   Didn't really go too well and he's quite happy with his hay thank you very much!  So we'll just use his new one for hug times 😍

Hubby's Home Brew

So the other evening, the bubbles had pretty much stopped, and Hubby was on a mission to bottle his beer!  I was actually allowed to help!!

                                      Hubby sterilised the bottles.

                                              He washed, I dried!

                            Hubby used Demarera sugar for priming.

                
               Very honoured to be helping transfer beer to barrel!!

 I let Hubby have that watch - just so you know! (It came free with my phone)

                   Now we wait a couple more weeks to see if it's worked!!

Recent New Purchase....

After a lot of searching, I finally found seating that will fit between the double doors - even when they are open.  And it's a chaise longue - something that's been on my wish list for a long time!

                                    Beautiful robin cushion was a gift from Dan.

Before Suzie started University, we bought a pretty daisy throw and split it in half between us.  (Trying to keep connected in whatever way possible!)  Suzie made a cozy hot water bottle cover and I made these cushion covers.  The initial plan was for me to make a hot water bottle cover too, but when I saw how well the fleece matched my small table cloth - I went off on a tangent!  I hope Suzie didn't mind - maybe she will make a cushion cover too from the fleece she still has left.  When she's home for the holidays. When they are both home.

Forever blowing bubbles!

Last Christmas our son gave Hubby a beer-making kit - which he was so chuffed with.  It's been such a busy year, but finally Hubby has been able set it all up in his Den and give it a go!  Every day now he is hoping that today is the day the bubbles have stopped, so that he can bottle his long-awaited beer.  They pause sometimes and he thinks they've stopped.. but then they start again!!  I know nothing about brewing beer, but apparently if he bottles it too soon - before the bubbling fermentation has stopped - the beer will be too weak.  Don't think he's going to wait much longer though!
