Hello and good morning! Yay it's the weekend..
Apart from posting my first item from my Mother's cabinet on here, yesterday was not very productive. I have not been spinning my housework wheel and I must start afresh on Monday. I had a difficult phone call to make yesterday and it kind of wore me out I suppose. I can't go into details, but suffice to say I refuse to change the way I operate my business, in order to maintain the personal link. I might lose the contact (not to mention the money), but I will still have my standards and reputation that people have come to trust. Anway, I'm not used to coming out of my comfort zone and rocking any boats, but it had to be done. We shall see what the week brings, and possibly see how strong the personal link was in the first place.
On to Saturday.. offspring are still in bed, but all will be active in a short time as we will be taking Suzie to her drama group. Hubby and I have had our morning brew and toast. We have semi-planned the day and now he has gone to the gym. Which is where I should be! I'll start back on Monday, again!
Bit of a disappointment regarding a weekend away next month.. offspring are due to perform in the school drama production and it was thought that this would mean staying the night. Hubby and I had booked into a lovely seafront hotel close to the venue. However it has been deemed close enough to travel there and back in the same day, so no weekend away. Although my palpatations would have had a disco regarding the offspring being away from us for a while, I was in fact looking forward to a little more time away from home with Hubby.
Nevermind, we have said that we will plan a little weekend trip somewhere very soon. I suppose we could have stayed as planned, just booked a bigger room, but then the offspring would miss the return journey bus banter or 'bants' as they call it!! Hubby and I will be travelling by car of course, having 'bants' of our own! (Whilst the constant prayer that the bus driver be careful is on replay at the back of my mind..has he any idea what precious cargo he is carrying??)
Yes we must have a think about where we would like to go. Somewhere that I can take lots of pics! It would only be the one night as I wouldn't want to be away from Humphrey any longer. And there's Tom's guinea pigs and Suzie's 'Wentzy' to consider of course. Did I mention that we had sadly lost Truffle the giant rabbit. So no rabbity noises coming from under the stairs any more. We miss both Truffle and Lola's eager furry faces poking through the child-gate. The gate has been replaced with a concertina-type sliding door and the understairs rabbit home is now back to being a storage cupboard, housing the Christmas decorations and hoover. Funny how my brain still expects to see the bunnies as I walk past into the hallway and my eyes automatically glance towards their previous home. Always a sad quietness.
On a brighter note, I don't have to worry about Hubby doing his annual acrobatics getting the Christmas boxes down from the loft!!
I must get dressed and on with the day.
Laters...
