Darcy the Cat

Darcy
Good Morning!  Feeling more relaxed this morning.  Don't you find that sometimes the colour of your clothes affects your mood?  Today Egg is wearing a light pink jumper, with light grey heart.  This year's very welcome Mother's Day prezzie from Suzie... and I find  it has a lovely calming effect.

Here we have Darcy the cat.  Once upon a time, when we didn't need our own music system, he belonged to the neighbours. Brief history = they moved, he didn't.  To keep the small furries that we already had, and continue to have,  in a healthy condition (alive), Darcy's every entrance into and exit from the house, is micromanaged.  Having said this though, he tends to ignore the rabbits and they are not phased as he slinks his way to the kitchen.   He does acknowledge the guinea pigs on his way, but they seem to tolerate his cage-nod.  Scootling him past the hamster cages is routine, before they are aware of his presence and before he thinks too much.  I have never been a cat person. Until Darcy.  He may not be allowed in the house at all times, he may scratch his nails on the back room settee, he may wash his private places behind me as I speak to visitors at the door, and he may sleep in the grubby leaves instead of the multi-pound cat house that we provided, but I love him.
