Friends

Good evening, sorry I'm late today!  This morning was taken up with visit to Docs to renew the palpatation tabs.  Routine blood pressure test showed the usual 'white coat syndrome', -  this time I have accepted an offer of a 24 hour heart monitor.  This involves a hospital visit to be fitted with it and another to get the results from it.  So now awaiting a letter with appointment. 

JJ came round yesterday.  I mentioned I was getting hooked on this blogging thing, but I don't think she shares my enthusiasm!  We differ in many ways, but our friendship works.  Have also received mails from Audrey in South Korea showing me her many hats.  My breakfasts are always brightened by her emails.  She is a lovely person. Oh and I have also been for a lunch meeting with Barbara today. Provisionally arranged a long overdue evening of food, wine and merriment next Friday. Which new pair of sandals shall I wear?  My consideration with every shoe purchase is 'will they look nice on Barbara's patio?'  I'm now giving the impression that I buy lots of shoes. I don't.   

Daughter's friendship circle is not so stable.. what can I do?  She just wants one friend that she can rely on. Her main friend from primary went to a different school.  The friend that she bonded with most on entry into Secondary, now seems to be nice one day and unpleasant the next.  I found a penpal site that looks decent enough and there was much excitement tonight, as someone has responded to Suzie's penfriend request. I wish so hard for someone to appreciate the friendship she gives.

Son, Dan, on the other hand rarely bothers himself to acknowledge a greeting from any of his peers. This is accepted, no idea why!
