Karate & Crosswords

Last night was Karate night - both children have gradings on Sunday.  Hubby and I always attend the lessons, in fact Hubby had a spell of taking part.  He used to do well in the lessons, but when it came to gradings, he seemed to fight against himself before any sparring partner got close!  With my constant safety alertness it is good to see the offspring practising their self defence every week, but I have to say the chairs are rather uncomfortable.  To keep our minds off this, Hubby and I complete crosswords.  Or we try to.. there are always one or two completely obscure clues that we have no chance with.. who knew that to laugh loudly and harshly was to 'bray' - I thought horses did that?!?  Anyway last night we succeeded in completing the whole crossword, we were so proud!!
